President's Blog
Last week Matt Alpaugh, Jessie Wintle and I sat down with Deacon Kevin McCormack, principal of Xevarian High School in Brooklyn. Deacon Kevin is also host of Religion on the Line on WABC on Sunday mornings.
We talk about- what else? iPads and how they make a difference in teaching and learning.
We are happy to announce that Andrew and Gina Wood have been named as this year’s Vivere Christus Awardees! Andy and Gina have been tremendous evangelists for Morris Catholic and their three sons have made us proud.
The following text was sent out today via email to our parents:
Dear Parents,
Each year Morris Catholic acknowledges members of the community who have served faithfully and made a positive impact in the life of the school.
This year, Morris Catholic is grateful to Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Wood for their many years of support and service to the community. Andy and Gina have served on numerous committees, chaired the Annual Fund, coordinated banquets, co-chaired the annual Beefsteak fundraiser and many other activities. Their three sons have represented Morris Catholic well in the classroom and in their co-curricular activities. They represent Morris Catholic in all that they do and say.
I am personally grateful to Andy and Gina for all they have done for the school. The Diocese of Paterson will honor them on June 3rd at the annual Vivere Christus Award ceremony in Clifton. A plaque will then be installed at Morris Catholic and each year will be added to with subsequent award winners.
We appreciate the countless hours that our families contribute to Morris Catholic- we couldn’t do it without you! The Woods are another great example of “Crusader Pride” and for that we are grateful.
Best regards,
Mike St. Pierre
President
