Hats off to our Students

Yesterday we hosted a Dress Down Day for this year’s Annual Fund. We raised just over $900 but more importantly, we took another step in promoting giving as a core component of our student culture.

Warren Buffet tells the story of the first $5 he gave to Johns Hopkins University. Now decades later, he has given over $1 billion to his alma mater.

It all started with a small, intentional gift of $5. That’s what we’re encouraging our students to do as well.

We intend to list our students (and everyone else who gives to the Fund) in this year’s Annual Report. Saying thanks is always a good thing.

There’s still time to give to this year’s Fund. Just visit www.morriscatholic.org and click on “Make a Gift”.

Reminder: Dress Down Day Today for the Annual Fund

So that we can include as many students as possible, we will have a Dress Down day today, Tuesday May 21.

The cost is $3 which can be paid in homeroom.

All students who participate will have their name in our Annual Report of Giving; you can see last year’s book HERE. The purpose of today’s Dress Down day is to encourage student giving, especially for our seniors as they are about to become alumni.

Where would we be without our mothers? Today we honor all moms and especially those who have been (and still are) a part of the Morris Catholic family. Thank you for all that you do and for the amazing persons that you are!

My mom, Camille, was always fair and firm with us. My two brothers and I always knew where we stood and were treated with Christian respect. Her work ethic, zest for life and total commitment to the family built the foundation for our success in life. She made the perfect team with my dad to teach us the faith and prepare us for the future.

So for my own mom and the thousands of other moms who are part of the Morris Catholic family, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

We will hear from parents of current and past students as they share the ins and outs of Morris Catholic life.
